With difficult conditions aplenty including a large downpour before throw in that did not deter our young hurlers of the future in two cracking games against the Ossian's and Shamrock's. First up were our great rivals the Shamrocks with John Patrick Delargy keeping the boys in red and white at bay in goals showing experience that belittles his young years. With Aodhan McCormick, Jack and Conall Og Trainor marshalling up the defence any score from the opposition was always going to be at a premium. Young Jake poacher turned gamekeeper cleared ball after ball Tommy Walsh would have been proud off. Cahir McCambridge and Conor McCann patrolled the midfield zone with all the athleticism of their Father's and no less skill. Up front what can you say Callum Quinn, new recruit Lorenzo and Shane McCurry we salute you with time running out young Callum stood up to the plate and scored an injury time equaliser against our great rivals Loughguile. Our second game was every much as compelling against the Ossians. End to end stuff with goal after goal who would emerge the winner. With light fading and the crowd in a crescendo Shane McCurry showed the poise of Christy McNaughton and buried the sliotar to the back of the net.
Well done to all our boys, thanks to Loughguile and Glenariffe for coming, great sportsmanship showed and remember Ruairi Og Abu!
