Our U10, U12 and U14 Hurlers will be part of a history making event tomorrow (Sun 17th Aug) as it's the first ever Cork v Tipperary Senior Hurling match to be played in Croke Park. Eight mentors will bring forty young Ruairí Óg players to the home of the GAA.
All places have been filled.
Details for the day are -
9am meet at our pavilion for departure by coach.
Bring a substantial packed lunch with drinks, fruit and water (enough to keep them fed to 6pm)
Take no more than £10 - food & drinks at the stadium are expensive so bring them in your lunch bag, ideally a ruck sac.
Wear warm clothes.
After the game they will stop at the Applegreen Services (approx 6pm) for burger, chips & drink. This will be paid for by the club.
Arrive home around 9.30pm to the pavilion.
Cost £15 to be paid to Andrew Schnell or JJ Mc Alister before you travel. This includes Coach, Ticket to the game and food in Applegreen Services.
Contacts for the trip are Andrew Schnell 07968 627098 11 Mount Edwards Hill Cushendall and
JJ Mc Alister 07714 660294
We hope the young boys enjoy watching to see who can make it to the final where the Cats of Kilkenny are waiting for either Cork or Tipp!
We hope that some of the lads can themselves one day return to play for Club and County in Croke Park. Remember to take photos.
Have a great trip and safe journey.
