Our U8 and U10 Hurlers visited Croke Park on Saturday to take in the All Ireland semi final and watch the mighty Kilkenny take on the defending Champions Limerick.
Our boys' journey started with a few friendly games against Liffeygaels Gac from Dublin and we were very well looked after by our great hosts - tea&coffee for the adults and party bags for the boys; a big thank you must go to Sinead Lupton who organised it. We look forward to returning the favour so thanks again Sinèad and Liffey Gaels.
Then it was off to the Maldon Hotel for dinner and ice cream which the children really enjoyed. After dinner it was time to make our way to the main event: Croke Park and an epic semi final. We really couldn't have asked for a better game. The game was nail-biting from the throw-in to the final whistle with Kilkenny doing just enough to deservedly hold on and topple the champions.
The children were all a credit to their families and the club. We will look at making this an annual trip as the feedback from the parents was that the boys had a fantastic day out.
We would like to say a big thank you to Bradley's (Kwiksave) petrol station for helping with the snacks and water for the journey home.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the trip and also to anyone who helped raise funds for this great day out.
