U6 Hurling

Under 6 Blitz

Our Under 6 boys played their hurling games of 2015 with a blitz in Loughguile on Sunday 26th September 2015. With games v Loughguile, Ballycastle, Naomh Padraig and Dunloy in a brilliantly organised blitz our boys more than equipped themselves. 

Games of 8 minutes each way our boys got plenty of game time and they did not disappoint with high scoring aplenty. Cabhan and John Patrick solid as a rock and Aodhan McCormick pulling the strings in defence our boys kept their opponents at bay for long periods. The work rate of Matt, Callum and Issac in the middle was relentless keeping the supply into the forwards. 

Jake joyous at his recent adopted Dublin All Ireland’s success displayed the same flair as the Brogans and Conall Og’s striking has improved with each game. We may have two Burke brothers in defence for our Seniors but young Cormac son of Marty a defender he is not this young hurler scored goal after goal and has the heart of a lion. The future is safe the future is our young hurlers.

May we in particular thank Emmet McFadden for Loughguile’s hospitality and well run blitz and our parents for their support and transportation. 

Training continues for the next few weeks on a Saturday 11am to 12pm at Glens Youth Club before finishing up for 2015.
