Antrim U15 Hurling League – Division 1
Cushendall 3-14 Loughgiel 6-7
Two injury time goals from Liam Glackin and Ronan Fitzgerald saw Loughgiel snatch victory from Cushendall at Pairc Mhuir on Thursday evening in a thrilling game that produced not less than nine goals and 21 points.
Cushendall had led at half time by five points after having played with the aid of a strong breeze and in truth it didn’t appear to be enough. However a goal and two points early in the second half appeared to have put them back in control. However with Roan McGarry leading the line they Shamrocks battled back to set up a thrilling finish. Going into injury time it appeared Cushendall had done enough as they led by four points, but late goals from Glackin and Fitzgerald saw them home.
On the Cushendall side there were great performances from centre forward Oran McCambridge and Thomas McLaughlin while Roan McGarry and Liam Glackin were the Shamrocks stars.
