We set of at 8 30am for the long journey to Ballygalget to take part in their U12 tournament in our group of 4 teams we finished top with 3 wins we beat Ballycran 3.2 to 1.2 St John's 4.1 to 1.2 and Portaferry 2.3 to 1.2 to qualify for the semi final.
We came up against a very strong rossa team who qualified from the other group of 4. Playing against a strong breeze in the first half we were behind by 10 points. Them with the breeze in the second half we came storming back playing with more aggression we scored 2.2 without reply to leave only 2 points between the sides Rossa broke up the field to score a goal shortly after the final whistle to leave Rossa winners by 5 points. Our boys played with great skill and determination on what was a great days hurling and very well organised by the Ballygalget club.
