Although we are not currently using the grounds at Páirc Mhuire for playing out the league or Championship training - our groundsmen have been putting in the hours (and diesel) carrying out some essential maintenance around the club. Our Club depends on volunteers. Even in these times, essential works must go on so we have the best playing surfaces when Hurling returns. With the expertise we have on hand these projects come at a very minimal cost.
When you buy a club lotto you contribute to the much needed funds to cover these mainly material expenses.
We thank those giving up their time to graft for the Club. More hands would lighten the load – if you have any time to give, all help is greatly received.

The tall trees running behind (and over!) the ball wall and along the boundary of the Fire Station have been removed, the trees had become dangerous and unsightly.
The Top pitch and a section of the Polo grounds have been subsoiled. This will improve drainage and also reduces soil compaction. Thanks to Gary McLaughlin & Paul Emerson
Drainage works have been completed on the top pitch. We have repaired a collapsed drainage pipe at the corner of the pitch nearest the pavilion and also added new drains in the opposite corner. This was a big project and will vastly improve the quality of the playing surface on the top pitch especially in wetter months. Thanks to Paddy Duncan, Brendan McAlister, Dan Delargy, Mick Quinn, Cónall McAteer and Seán McAfee. Also thanks to Gabriel Emerson, Gary McLaughlin & Dan Delargy for providing the machinery.
Dugouts have been freshly painted ready for matches! Thanks to Connel Trainor and Connel Óg Trainor.
The work done will serve our club well in the future, we look forward to the gates opening and the clash of the ash once again.
