What a great club & family night it was this evening (Weds). Our younger hurlers were put through a tough warm up session along with the Senior players under the watchful eye of club strength & conditioning coach Tommy Stevenson. Then the highlight they got to play the Seniors in two small sided games (well small-sided for the Seniors maybe not the children).
After the hard workout was complete it was into the clubrooms for tea, coffee, juice, crisps and sandwiches. It was a super idea thanks to our Senior Management for coming up with the suggestion.
Club Chairman Brian Kearney stated that he was delighted with the success of the event and that "I hope the evening would inspire the next generation of hurlers and camogiers"
Our thanks go to the mentors for setting up the pitches and looking after the teams, our ladies for looking after us so well with refreshments, for those who took photographs, our ground staff for having the pitch in great nick, to our management and players for showing what club means to them, Big Jackie for refereeing, and above all, to all the children, parents, members and supporters for coming out on a beautiful autumnal evening to show their support to our Senior team.
Best of luck to the Management and players on Sunday. Thanks to Marion Carson & Charles Mc Naughton for the photos and If anyone has anymore photographs please email them to martinmagee@hotmail.com
