Senior hurler Mark Donaghy will captain St Mary's University/BMC hurling team on Friday morning (2nd Mar) in Clarinbridge, Galway when they play their semi-final match in an attempt to reach the final of the Fergal Maher Cup (a 3rd Level Colleges' Competition)
Throughout his time at St Mary's, Mark has been a major factor in ensuring the hurling club thrives in the college so as his student days near an end, it seems a fitting reward that he and the rest of his team-mates have an opportunity for All-Ireland success.
And isn't it wonderful to see another 'Dall man wearing the captain's armband and being acknowledged for his leadership skills on the field of play?
On behalf of everyone at Ruairí Óg CLG, we wish Mark and all his colleagues every success on Friday morning!
