Hurling Qualifiers Draw

Round 1.  July 28th to July 5th,

This round will include the 8 teams defeated in the Munster & Leinster quarter finals and semi finals.

Teams will be drawn from 2 bowls as follows :

1. Four  Leinster Championship teams.

2. Three  Munster plus one  Leinster championship team.

The games will be on  a knockout basis with the four teams in Group 1 V the four teams in Group 2 avoiding repeat clashes from earlier games. (Wexford cant play Antrim again at this stage).

The four winners will progress to Round 2 which will be played on weekend of July 12th.

Draw to be made on Monday 23rd June on RTE Radio.

Teams so far include :

Defeated quarter finalists : Laois; Antrim; Offaly; Waterford.

Defeated semi finalists: Wexford; Tipperary; Clare who will be joined by loser Kilkenny/Galway.

Wexford will be in the Leinster Group with Offaly and loser of KK / Galway. A draw between Laois & Antrim to decide which one goes into Munster Group.
