Last week, chairman Fergus Mc Naughton engaged the services of four younger members: Alex and Andrew Delargy, David Kearney and Conor Mc Alister to erect goalposts on the upper pitch. However as you can see from the pictures, the boys just didn't dig a few holes and set in the posts - they took their work to a completely new level by using all kinds of technology incuding a theodolite! Yet again it just goes to prove that the GAA is ahead of all other sports - this time goal-line technology! While other sports talk about it, Ruairí Óg CLG gets ahead of the posse!
Rumour has it that next winter the boys will be offering night classes in surveying and operating theodolites to other Ruairí Óg members who want to keep abreast of technological developments.

Ruairí Óg CLG: the club that likes to stay ahead of the competition!
