On Saturday we had the pleasure of the company of Roisin Kelleher from the BBC in attendance at our Senior League game at home to Ballycran. The game was a very tight affair and we just held on for a terrific win with a much changed team.
Roisin was recording the views feom both teams, of what the Gaa, the club and especially what hurling means to them.
Roisin took the time to speak to players, members, supporters, mentors, officials and the all important ladies committee who provided the delicious sandwiches and tea and coffee after the game for both teams and the match referee, Owen Elliott.
Afterwards Roisin messaged club chairman Aidan Mc Ateer and asked him to pass on her appreciation for the support and cooperation of all those who took the time to have their thoughts and feeling recorded.
"thanks to everyone in Cushendall in the Glens of Antrim today for an amazing day of audio recording with the Ruairí Óg and Ballycran hurling teams for our special Clash of the Ash programme which will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3 on the Between the Ears slot this October 28th! A long puc away till then but worth the wait, I hope! Róisín"
The club would like to record our thanks for this wonderful opportunity and were delighted to be involved in the exciting programme.
Thanks to you Roisin and your colleagues.
